Raymondo
Alongside new performance collective The Cartographers, I helped produce, fund, and business manage the tour of Annie Siddons’ extraordinary solo work, “Raymondo.” (Further info at bit.ly/cartographers)
milkwhite / pool (no water)
Producing with one-time theatre collective, The Kinematics, I managed hiring, budgeting, marketing, social media, venue selection, and a variety of other odds and ends to help bring these two beautiful pieces to life. Our directors, actors, and designers produced truly lovely work that was very well received. The shows were run side by side in an art gallery through April and May of 2016. Cowboy Mouth
Summer 2016 I was delighted to work with Slimtack Theatre Co. on marketing and promotion for their intimate production of "Cowboy Mouth" by Sam Shepard and Patti Smith. The work was shown in a living room to a nightly crowd of only 13, and was a truly unique experience. On my end, I provided support on producing their video, marketing/social media insight, photography, and a microsite. (more at bit.ly/rockandrolljesus)
"they"
For the 2014 Chicago Fringe Festival, I had the opportunity to produce a premiere of playwright Nigel O'Hearn's work, "they," an exploration of gender, race, and identity. Nigel, director Keri Boyd, and I shared the piece under the moniker "triptych." The work received incredible feedback from festival attendees, and may later be reimagined for an extended Chicago run at a larger venue. Mercury Fur
With EX-Pats Theatre Co.'s second full length, we explored Philip Ridley's "Mercury Fur," a harrowing look at sexual and physical violence among English youths in a dystopian future. (design credit: Shayna Cott; video credit: Eric Liberacki II)
Fugitive Pieces
For EX-Pats Theatre Co.'s first full length, we chose "Fugitive Pieces" by Caridad Svich. With this and "Mercury Fur," I had the opportunity to co-produce and design all sound elements in the piece. "Fugitive Pieces" was significant for those of us working in the Uptown community because of its thoughtful exploration of homelessness and addiction.
