FilmLESS 2015, Black Box
In my most recent festival experience, the amazing team of storytellers and audiophiles at Third Coast International Audio Festival invited me to mange their 2015 Filmless Festival. (photo credit: Bill Healy)
FilmLESS 2015, High-Hat Second Line
In addition to live story-telling events, audio "screenings" in the dark, expert-led workshops, sonic hoopla, and an awards ceremony, we produced a real, live Pep Rally with four stories on stage and one wild brass band. (photo credit: Bill Healy)
End of Plays
To mark Harold Camping's predicted "end of days," EX-Pats Theatre Co. presented a two-day play festival of six original works featuring actors and musicians from around the Chicago area. Thankfully, the world didn't end and festival-goers got to enjoy a second night of performances and a raucous party. (design credit: Chris Smith; photo credit: Chad Duda)
23.5 Hour Festival
In EX-Pats' first-ever anything, we hosted a 23 1/2 hour festival inviting musicians, filmmakers, playwrights, directors, and actors to produce original work in just under 24 hours and followed the performance with more live music and revelry. (video credit: Jason Zenz)
22 Hour Project
Then, because we and the artists we work with are a little bit out of our minds, EX-Pats recreated the festival for four years, knocking time off of the clock and adding new venues, artistic disciplines, and surprise elements to the festivities. (design credit: Chris Smith)
